Seventy-four years ago, Richard D. Thick opened Thick’s Glass just down the street from where they are now located. Back then the focus was on commercial, home and auto glass repair.

A lot has changed over the years, but Thick’s Glass is still in the family and still providing quality service for the people of Lapeer County. We have great employees, Charles Mitchell, President, Bob Erskine, Nick Harper, Dakota Harper and Don Lafayette, with combined experience between them of over 126 years.

Thick’s Glass still does auto glass, window repairs and screens, and added more services. Those include, but are not limited to chip repairs, window regulators and motor in doors, thermo paynes, mirrors, picture frames, table tops, side by sides, tractors, semis, deer blinds and glass for decks. Thick’s also repairs and side mirrors for vehicles when they get broken. Yes, we accept auto and home insurance claims and aftermarket add-on coverage claims.

Thick’s glass isn’t just about repairing and replacing glass. The business prides itself on providing quality hometown service and low prices. If there is a way to save a customer money, Thick’s will tell them how.

The employee’s at Thick’s are all active in the community. They participate in numerous volunteer efforts around the area, like Lapeer Days and Holiday Depot. For as long as any of the owners can remember, Thick’s has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce and believe in supporting numerous organizations in Lapeer County.

We are open 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday. If there is an emergency they will arrange to open Saturday.
